Oct 8, 2007 "May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you"-psalm 25:2. Blogging is one way of establishing you, your consistency of actions, values, and your principles. It is one way of strengthening your character. Most of us blogs to express, others do it for the sake of keeping in touch with their friends. Likewise, I write also to express, but writing for me has a big responsibility. It’s an opportunity for me to worship God. Though, Article III section four of our Philippine Constitution says: “No law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances”, the blog trend today should not be used like graffiti (please not on my FB wall). Liberty can be greatly exercised using this right, but even though, we are still responsible of what we say. The Lord sees our hearts, and He judges our motives. Knowing that God gave us the gift of writing, we are accountable of our readers. It’s very clear for me to stir up not only their interests in different things, but also for them to see that God is the boss, the big Editor In Chief of Our lives. We believe in a personal God who is truth and who is sovereign over the affairs of this world; Let the Lord of truth sort things out in the marketplace of ideas. Therefore a Christian Writer should be fearless in presenting all views of a given issue and is responsible for the facts given. Let us remember that God is in control of our lives. He said in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, on whom my name is named, make themselves low and come to me in prayer, searching for me and turning from their evil ways; then I will give ear from heaven, overlooking their sin, and will give life again to their land. " Our world needs us, it is through us that they will come to know God, and one way of reaching them out is through writing. Publishing our articles protects us too. It makes us accountable with our readers. What we wrote must be manifested with our deeds. Nov 4, 2009 Sunday school fun!!! 14 Photos, 3 comments
